Covid-19 Vaccination Notes:

11Oct2024 Brief Covid-19 Vaccinations Update:

Newer strains of Covid-19 are anticipated to be more active this Fall-Winter 2024 Season so now is the time to speak with your pharmacist and or physician to discuss which of the brand formulations is good for you this 2024-2025 Season.

One branch of strains is quite different but not worse than the others this season-' XEC' which is maybe covered by the current vaccinations.

According to Yale Medicine Article Online:
BY KATHY KATELLA October 1, 2024
"It’s impossible to guarantee a 100% match between a vaccine and a circulating variant when a virus is constantly mutating, Dr. Roberts says. But the newly updated Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, designed to target KP.2 (the dominant COVID strain this past spring), and the latest Novavax vaccine that targets an earlier strain— JN.1—should also provide protection against XEC, he adds. “Even though XEC is recombinant, it's composed of two Omicron subvariants that were expected to be addressed by the updated vaccines,” Dr. Roberts says. “From that standpoint, although this new variant might diminish the immunity the vaccines provide by a little bit, I'm optimistic that we're still going to have some degree of protection from both recent infections and updated vaccines.”

Real world discussion of Covid-19 infections includes lingering post- inflammatory syndromes in long Covid-19 patients which are causing heart, brain, kidney and lung dysfunctions.

Yes you may feel like crap for 48hrs after the vaccine but this is nothing to the complications of being un-vaccinated.

I know it can be difficult to stay vigilant w/ the various issues- I stay tuned to our Health and Human Services, FDA, CDC in the States and WHO for international trends/updates.

The US Health and Human Services website has a lot of very good information of how to stay active doing what you love without serious preventable illness bringing you down.

We all have been seriously ill- laying around miserable.

I personally get vaccinated to avoid that  (FLU and Covid-19, updated my TDAP this Oct 2024 as well)!

As some of you know we have a ranch that requires a lot of our energy-- being sick is not what I want to be doing.

Excited to qualify and be awarded this recognition.  I really worked to get there (have two 3inch ring binders full of CME work) and what a learning journey it has been.

My Approach to The Art of Medicine

Thoughts

"
So Doc what are we doing here?" Right- excellent question..
Collaborating together along this journey.
I can tell you this from the experiences I have had, yes we have some amazing answers to serious scientific questions and then exists huge gaps.
That which can not yet be explained.
A void of information but not of experiences exists.

As fellow beings, that is were we live- in the mix of known and unknown.

The general model for medical practice in the United States has shifted away from the Art of Healing and Health and much too far to that of the business. Patients are not production numbers and physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners are NOT providers. Individuals of the medical team bring unique training and practice experiences

together.
But it is easy to forget -- the drive to move more patients is sickening and dangerous-- yet it is the overwhelmingly common business model.
We quite simply are -- out of balance and touch with humanity--

The key..
Is Collaboration and Careful Individualized/Family Care.

A Love of Medicine and Humanity keeps me focused and exploring ways to help and share information
